Hi, just wondering if anyone could help me. I’ve just installed a texecom Veritas alarm in my garage at home and can’t seem to get rid of the tamper light at all.

At first I was getting red lights on all my zones Aswell as tamper. I then linked out all zones which got rid of the red zone lights and just left with the solid red tamper light and can’t seem to do anything to make the alarm work now.

I just have the panel, keypad and PIR. I’ve got a master blaster sounder which is disconnected for now.

Have checked and made sure PIR lid is fitted correctly, Aswell as keypad and panel. Solid red led on tamper remains.

Have tried resetting using 1234 and 4321 and dont seem to be having any luck with that. Panel only beeps once when each button is pressed but nothing else.

Any help appreciated this is my first alarm i have fitted so it’s new to me

Tamper circuit is open, what way is it wired? Linking out zones will leave the alarm completely useless, what way have you got it set up?

If you do not have an external sounder in circuit you will have to link out the tamper return to negative.
