We, Mrs B and I, are currently in USA.
Firstly, for the arrival of the latest grad child - who made an earlier that expected arrival - but we were still just in time for the event.

Today was my birthday. I was taken for lunch by two pretty ladies - my wife and her best friend.
Brilliant food and company.

Tomorrow we will have thanksgiving dinner with with dear friends.
Early next month we have a birthday celebration with the older grand son.

We will be here until the end of the year for various other reasons/events.

Given that it's a uniquely US thing (they're giving thanks for the landings of the Pilgrim Fathers as I understand it) I'm dismayed that it's slowly creeping over here.
Needless to say, unless you're American, most of those celebrating it here will have no bloody clue what it's all about.
Happy holidays to you Gnuuser.

Yes. Thanksgiving is basically when the yanks remember when they got their arses saved by the natives at the beginning of the first harsh winter and they were all starving.....right before spring came around and then they started to shoot them and drive them off their land. Americans still don't understand irony to this day. And before anyone starts to label me as simply anti-yank..... Yep, you're probably right! No matter how much time I spend there (and historically that's been a lot) I still can't find much to be charitable about!!

I had Thanksgiving.... Sweet potato casserole, Green bean casserole, cornbread, Turkey, & pecan pie.... It was good.
Happy thanksgiving :)
