I've now given up and assume one of 2 things, (1) it has closed down or-----(2) the Admin have abandoned the site

I can only apologize, I'm not sure what the delay is, I'll bump the request I made in the staff room.

You're always welcome to drop me a PM or you can email me on [email protected].

I haven't had a chance to go any further with the soldering, I've been tied up on site with a couple of large works projects that are coming to an end plus I just spent last weekend and a couple of late nights finishing our end of month paperwork and chasing stage payments so the hobbies and the workshop orders have taken a back seat for now.

Wellhungbigboy??? Dear God ... I can see modesty is not one of your best attributes! ;)

And it's probably a lie anyway !!

OK ... I'll jot my thoughts (about soldering) down and send to you in a day or two - either by PM or e-mail.

Yeah, it's one of my disposable gmail addresses and it never fails to get a few comments ;)

I'd appreciate any thoughts you have on getting the soldering looking more aesthetically pleasing. We have an old CNC punch in our workshop so I'm also tooling up to punch our own copper end caps which will have a much shorter length than the copcal fitting I was using. I'm looking at setting up a friend of mine in small scale production of these lamps, he was a fitter/turner but had a stroke a couple of years ago and lost partial mobility but I think he could make and assemble these lamps if I can get the production cost down and if I can find a market for them so I want to persevere and see them through the r&d stage as and when time allows.

OK .. I'll get me finger out & get on it. ;)

Good point! Thanks. Therefore on under 50kw installs there is a grey area that I can't work out what's compliant and what isn't.
