Thought I'd see what tipple, beer, lager, shot etc is drink of choice for our members? :54:

I'm a social drinker only so have absolutely nothing in the house, but when I'm out I'm a Lager man TBH and usually Carling, occasionally I am quite partial to a JD neat but getting to that age where a big night out takes days to recover from :/.

I started out many years ago on Skol and Newcastle Brown and kinder went the lager route until today..

My first pint cost 92p in about 1989 where as now we are looking at £3.26 at my local although to be fair a lot of the lager is £2.50 a pint in my town.

Over to you :17:

Larger mainly Carling or Stella depending on the type of night out. In recent years more and more micro brewers have popped up in independent pubs & bars, really got a taste for GB home brewed and also IPA's. The big pub chains have picked up on this and they have a selection to temp people, just be careful when it goes over 4% ABV!!!

I used to be a huge drinker but now I go months without having any.
When I was younger I used to drink Old Peculier, Newcastly Brown and Boddingtons. Lager was for p*ffs....
I also drank red wine, but had to but it by the 3 litre's as a couple of bottles wasn't enough.
I now drink lager when I go out and don't drink anything at home.

Becks, black sheep and JD.
When I started drinking it was Hofmeister at 87p a pint cried for a month when it got to £1 a pint if only I knew then how much it would cost 32 years later would have not cried back then and just drank more

my first pint in a pub (i was 15 at the time) was Bass bitter 1/9d. ( that's about 8p in decimal coin). newcastle brown was 2/7d with 3d back on the bottle. we used to nick empties from the pub back yard and redeem at the offy.

now most ale i drink is 5% or more ( none of this girly 4% stuff) but then i don't drink much now. too bloody expensive. 2-3 from lidl @ £1.25 sees me through an evening at home. occasional scotch, pereferably talisker, glenmorangie, etc. or a JD or 3. polish/czech or jap if it's a lager day.

It would be easier to list what I don't drink !
I'm mainly a proper beer man though and stick mainly to local breweries, but I'm well up for trying anything new as my 2 day stint at the local beer festival this year will attest to.
A good single malt also gets my taste buds kicking.
