I live about 20 mins away from the distillery!

I'm usually lager but will sink most things bar ale and wine. Cidre tonight!

Jealous, but I have never had cidre!

I normally drink cheap lager and single malt whiskies, but not laphroaig, lagavulin by choice or dalwhinnie or Talisker.

So you don't like laphroaig but you do like a lagavulin ? Have you tried bunnahabhain or caol ila ?
I also like a bit of Talisker, a lovely smooth drop.

Used to be Carling mainly - but im getting the taste for Cask Ales - this been just down the road and do some of the best tasting beers Saltaire Brewery ? Award winning Yorkshire brewery Amarillo Gold Saltaire Brewery ? Award winning Yorkshire brewery » Seasonal and special beers is my current fav - its not a all night beer but certainly taste good.

Saltaire brewery produce some good beers. If you see it being served, try Leodis if you can. It is a larger but goes down like a bitter.

that efes was the only available tipple on an all inclusive to turkey. i'd rather drink camel wee. efes is bloody awful.

@Paul ive never heard of that one but sounds right up my street - this brewery also do some nice beers - they have a great IPA but its bluming expensive, its like drinking in London! Northern Monk Brew Co | Progressive, bold, British craft beer. From the north with love.

Them 3 mostly, I see efes mentioned above, I drank a lot of that in Turkey, I like it!...

I've had that somewhere, cant remember which pub but it was not one of my regular haunts.

Ember Inns chain have EBU on draft. Not a bad pint at all for a chain, worth trying it.

Whisky and coke, or if I'm not mixing it I'll put the cheap stuff back in the cupboard and I'll reach for single malt Jura 30years. If I'm out with the lads I'm only on pints of shandy. Its not that I can't handle it but ever since I started working as a door man/bouncer I just for some reason don't like to get drunk!

I quite like a nice pear cider or mixed fruits cider too especially in the summer!

I've never understood the logic low alcohol beers, bitters, heavy ales etc.
Not having a go a people who do - each to their own.
Then again, I drink to get drunk, if I want something that tastes nice or interesting I buy a strawberry milk shake, or soup.

Went out in Blackfriars last night, we were paying £5.30 for a peroni.

Normally drink fosters but that's a bit common for a city boozer!

If you down half a bottle of smart price vodka, you can spend the rest of the evening staggering about with a strawberry milkshake. Sorted.
