I brought the Apple TV, if that's what you mean, not a bad but if kit for 99 quid, good for watching films and stuff from iTunes but that works out a bit expensive, Netflix is ok but a lot of old stuff on it.
Good for YouTube, like I said its ok for the money but a bit limited.

Just use Vuze for your 'illegal' downloads.
Everyone else does.
I've got most of my music now off there, having already paid once or twice for the vinyl and CD versions.

If you own the music it might be legal (depending on local laws) to download an electronic version as a back-up under 'fair use' or 'AHRA' laws. The problem with using vuse is that bittorrent sharing means you're also indiscriminately uploading to others whilst you're downloading which is usually illegal. It's also worth noting that using the bittorrent protocol your ipaddress is out there for all to see unless you're using a secure VPN. Again depending on local laws it might be better to use a direct download site such as mediafire/rapidshare.

I've no idea what the law stands on this subject.
I've been at it now for getting on 10 years. Not heavy usage. The occasional film, it's not that much different from taping off the TV really. I'll just hide in the over whelming number of users excuse!:-)

There has just been a recent case of a load of downloaders getting sued?

If anyone knows the answer to my specific question I would be great full .

“eKit Camera/TV/Memory Card Connection Kit - all iPads and iPhone 4S/4

Advice please on data transfer, I am relatively new to data transfer ability on Apple products, I was under the impression that most types of files had to be uploaded via the store to then be synced with the Pad to transfer them, but I see connectors like the one in the link, and would like to know if you can import files and what types via these devices ?
Thanks J ”

I am not a seasoned I Pad user, but apart from the usual short cuts I have learned ( or is that learnt for grammar geeks ).
Tap to top and tap to bottom.
Tap to top is easy, to scroll to the top of a web page just tap the small bar at the top of the pad where the time is.
Tap to scroll to bottom requires an App or a bit of code, in the tool bar, very useful to scroll to bottom. I have seen many useful hints this one struck me as quite easy to work with hope it helps, any other tips please post here.

How to quickly scroll to the bottom of a web page on the iPad. « glasskeys.com

Four finger swiping:

Swipe left or right: changes apps.
Swipe Up: Reveal quick app selection.

Four finger pinch:

Quickly close app and return to main screen.

For these to work you have to enable multitasking gestures in iPad settings.
