I'm on a job at the min and have seen the Domestic elec cert for the C.U. change they had done in 2009.

The cert says 10mm bonds to gas and water intakes but they are nowhere to be seen.
In the location box its marked as in cupboard but they definatley aint there.

I'm aware that a soldered bond can be hidden but this must be noted on the test cert and photograhic evidence attached along with it ( I've done this myself under NICEIC guidance)

What would you sugget I do ?

The guy seems 'canny' and has made a good job of things as far as I can see.

There are numerous 10mm G/Y cables at the earth bar and MET.

Cheers

get a wandedr lead and measure the resistance from MET to water and gas pipework at the nearest point to entry. if you get good low readings, then enter on the cert. that bonds are not accessible, but verified by measurement.

I thought about that but what about future maintenance ?
The lady of the house said she sometimes got a slight shock from the gas hob, am I not right in thinking this could be a poor bond to the gas although I have had this befor and it was a poor elec connection to a gas/elec hob.
