Im really getting annoyed at the personal minute by minute updates some people post on facebook!!!

I don't want to know what your having for tea!
I don't want to know if its raining where you are ...its frikin rain for gods sake deal with it!
I don't want to know who you have fallen out with or who's crapped on you from a great height!

Facebook is for catching up and exchanging positive thoughts ...what its not is for a hour by hour detailed life experience what no-one wants to know!!!!!

Use the drop down box next to the post / story (as facebook calls it) to select 'Hide all from this user' and you wont see their updates. And it's not as heavy as unfriending them which might hurt their feelings. ha

On the plus side, my friend and I found each other after losing contact over 20yrs ago. She migrated to Weston Super Mare and me to Newcastle. This is a positive side to fb and people posting krap. Well off for a shower! :dita:

I only keep mine going to use private messaging to my kids and as a way of contacting them, as them dam mobiles nearly always go to answer service lol however fining it hard to look at now .........................................

Me too Kas, but my bloody kids hardly keep in touch or see me, and that was an other reason to pull the plug on FB.

There's more trouble caused through things like facebook than anything else,IMO things like that should be banned! What ever happened to people getting off their lazy backsides and actually visiting their friends or picking up the phone?Incidentally I woke up this morning at 07.30 went and had a pee,made a glass of cordial,vimto if anyone's interested,had a smoke,retrieved my laptop from the car,had another smoke came on here,took a phonecall from someone who wants me to pop over and see them this afternoon,and will shortly be going out to buy a card for my grandson's birthday.He's 7 today and I bought his present yesterday.There and I bet you all feel a lot better for knowing that (not) lol.

In all seriousness, ive never seen much point in facebook, all i find is that it tends to cause arguments, fights etc. I use private messaging to speak to friends and family but thats it really.

Anyone used instagram? You are gaurenteed to see someome posting a picture of their coffee in starbucks, they all look the same...dont see the point?!

Comer on people, FB is good. But as Darkwood points out, is full of sad people who thing we actually care what they are doing every minute of the day. I think that these people need a slap from a close friend.... followed by several more slaps... Use FB for sorting out dives and stuff, so its good for that.

Darkwood: should have took a pic of your toilet visit and posted that on FB.. caption "Look at what ive just done!!" Get your own back..
