The dreaded Square D....

Hi Everyone.
I’ve been called up by a local for EICR remedial’s. The main switch’s on two Square D Quickline 2 boards are too high for the incoming tails.
Scouring online for suitable replacements but can’t find any 40 amp ones.

These boards were used well before my time so wondering if anyone knows what other breakers might work?

Yep! Year 2000 install

Install is from 2000 so tails are undersized- 10mm

That observation dont sound correct. How can a main switch be to high . It can only be too low. just to add You can still buy replacement mcbs from CEF called QOE range

I didn’t carry out the EICR’s just doing the remedial’s. Main switch is 100amp and the tails are 10mm.

so the QOE range fit? Thanks for the knowledge

Ahhhh right, thanks. Ive been googling it and Schneider kept coming up and wasnt sure what series would work!

Yes it ok I realise you did not do the test. YES QOE will fit. The size of the tails is irrelevant in regarding the main switch size. What you need to know is what OCPD is protecting the tails and what load is being drawn on those tails

QOE fit Quickline but SQO for Quickline II they are not interchangeable.
