Please tell more about the living roof? Is it clad in turf?

You build it up using pebbles and membranes and pre formed units, the building just has to be strong enough to hold the extra weight.

I presume there is a waterproof membrane, then a weed-suppressing one, or maybe 2 of each? and drainage to a gutter? Is the insulation value quite high?

You can get modular units, I will have wildflowers growing and grass, its for the shed/workshop and for me it's not the insulation properties but as the unit will be about 25m2 its more about the insects and the wildlife as I will take away X amount of the garden and it looks nice anyways,
