The Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)

Was thinking about doing this course later this year, and was wondering if anybody had done the course and what their views were. Been asked a few times if I had done the course while subbing to large M&E companies.

its just a pointless yet expensive ticket to say you can sit in a site cabin filling in tedious method statements.
any agency asking for this just for an "on the tools" spark is full of sh*t basically.

another low calorie apparatif for the UK H&S machine ;-)

Did the Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course last Oct (2012). Interesting course that covered all the general stuff around CDM etc ..... from a management prospective. Never done the Supervisors Course but if it is anything like the SMSTS then I would recommend it if you get the chance. If nothing else it will refresh your knowledge and also add another "tick" on your C.V.!
