Hello sparks

Is it me or are van break inns hugely on the rise, this year every electrician i know has been broken into.
on a new van what is the best way to secure your van as best as you can as i think 90% are low hanging fruit with robbers not bothering with well secured van.
Although with that said i know of a gentlemen who has a brand new transporter with security like fort knocks.... grinder on the roof and the van was subsequently written off.
Also insurance anyone can recommend?
and finally anyone been done over themselves as i feel like i am the only one who has been lucky so far as a good friend got all is stuff taken just going into ASDA.

I had a laptop stolen just before Christmas. It was worth maybe ÂŁ100, so ÂŁ50 to them at most, but it had a few thousand pounds worth of EICR's for a laboratory on it which I had to redo.

There's bankers and politicians thieving from us from the top out in the open about it, and there's scum from the bottom creeping about nicking our stuff, then there's us working hard but getting shafted from both ends. What a life!

You catch the scum trying to break into your property or thieving your stuff & do anything to them. Then see what happens, You'll suddenly find that scum have more rights than normal people and they can afford better lawyers, Or of course Joe public will foot the bill for one:mad:

@Specialist worse than that, if you call out a banker or politician for being a crook, they'll sue YOU for defamation! Look at Ian Hislop, most sued man in Britain, all he does is says what he sees and doesn't pull punches. Maybe if these old boys networks didn't rinse so much money from the system we could pay for a better NHS and police force. /rant over... you can tell it's Monday morning.

Won't argue with anything you said buddy, but they're sort of removed somewhat. We're stuck with Bankers & Politicians the same as we would be with a boil on the butt. No matter what bank you use or political party is in, we know they're shafting us on a daily basis.

Thieving Druggie scum are closer to home for most of us & their antics have a more Instant & Shocking effect on our daily lives, hopefully having your van ripped off wouldn't be a regular occurrence.
When it does happen though, it has a massive effect on your business or job & your ability to put food on the table for your family.

Nowadays they'd probably send them to Alton towers or Disneyland, because obviously they won't have had these things growing up & that's what will have made them do bad things. This will make them jealous of what other people have & cause them to go out thieving to get things.
Yeah right, My heart bleeds. Maybe they could get off their collective asses & go earn the money to buy what they want.
:mad::mad:.
Sorry Rant over (maybe).

Bet they're out already, after the Police giving them breakfast at the taxpayers expense.
We recently had a scroat around here, hammering around in a car with no tax, insurance or mot. He was even seen driving along the pavements at speed, anyway one Friday night the Police were lying in wait & had him bang to rights. Guy was nicked about 7.30 pm, apparently turns out he had no licence either & several previous convictions. He was back home by 11 that night. 12 hours later, after a Police chase. He was caught again, this time driving a stolen car.
Where in the hell are we going ?, have to say I feel sorry for the Police. Their job must be soul destroying at times.

We had loads of them up here used to goad the Police into chases to get the helicopter out , same ones every time.
they want the helicopter out, then send an Apache. blow them away. far cheaper in the long run.

Like it tel but nope sorry mate, didn't they tell you ?. That would be against their human rights.
human rights, my arse. they ain't human so it does not apply.

We recently had the spare van broken into, they wrecked the back and side doors, but didn't get in. The van was so damaged by their poor efforts to get in that it was written off. The only item stored in the van was a push broom, at least they didn't steal that...

As we all know that there has always been scumbags about. I just hope that all the van manufacturers have taken note and are working on making them more secure. A high percentage of vans being done over is by folding the side or back doors.
This is another reason why the bastards only get a slap on the wrist is because they aren't carrying anything on them.
They just peal the doors open like a can of sardines.
