Then I apologise if that's not something you partake in mate. It sounded like you were telling someone to do something that you do. So I'm sorry for jumping the gun!

Even more annoying than ob are the people who do their job and want to grass others up and give statements etc. Maybe that's just the way I've been brought up though.
to be honest i leave mine set up in the car and you will be amazed how many people that do ilegal manovers on a daily commute. ive got at least one person each way doing something dodgy

if i did send it off i would be too busy at home with 15-20+ a week

I'm actually putting one in the car, just for back up if an idiot ever causes a crash and then tries getting out of it when the missus is driving.

As for three people crashing into you in 18 months, I'm well on the way, has now been twice in 5 months, last being a few weeks ago. Knot the luckiest people eh!

Someone smashed into the back of my landrover once, they wrote their car off and left a little smudge of paint on the bracket for my towing hitch.
I'm waiting for the day someone hits the front bumper, it's 1/4" thick steel :D

i went with a blackvue, just plug it in and away you go.

take the micro sd card out and it puts the video files on a folder so its easy to find as well

the firmware is easy to update as well (firmware and settings are stored on the sd card)

i need to get a landy for work then.

car nearly got written off before, had to have a new rear axle, shocks and bootpan (i dont think it should have passed mot lol)

As much as I love it, I wouldn't trust it as my only vehicle.
Instead I bought two of LRs fine vehicles and just hope that at least one is driveable at any time.

I am thinking of getting one for the missus' car.
Only yesterday someone I know had a ----- reverse into him and try the old crash for cash scam.

People who play Devils advocate on forums instead of either
1. Giving an informative and well thought out reply using their knowledge or valid opinion
2 just reading the threads and accepting that someone else is better suited to reply.

People who don't know when to shut up and watch/listen!
Not trying to get everyone raving about Electrical Trainee but....
Got a new bloke at work (industrial/controls) did a 4 week course last summer, ok he's not bad on his theory for domestic and basic stuff. .....
But he's just one of those people who thinks he knows it all! got all the gear yet is asking basic questions and challenging anything he's told to do!

Told me I was doing several things wrong last week even though he's got zero experience in any kind of electrical job other than odds and sods he's never wired a real circuit! and before last week had never touched anything other than single phase
Just got the wrong attitude full stop , can't see him lasting here which is a shame because he's not stupid just a complete idiot in his ways!
Rant over

Next time you strip a twin and Earth by yanking the cpc up through the outer sheath, compare the length of the cpc to the live/neutral. IT WILL SOMEHOW BE LONGER!! It magically gains up to an inch in length. Strain on cable?

The proper way to strip twin and earth is to run a sharp Stanley knife down the middle of the cable using the cpc as a guide. It takes a day to get used to but you will notice how much better it is for the cable. I'd say 98% strip with side cutters haha, this could be the start of something!!
