I cope with retirement very well thank you, it's all about your state of mind, and your Pension.Sadly, as if to prove my point.
A 70 year old man from my locality committed suicide last night.
He couldn't adopt to retirement, he actually came out of retirement for a while. He left behind his wife and family.
He was the brother of a famous NI goalkeeper.
You are right SWD, but unfortunately some people just can't cope.

I'm glad that you are. It usually suits about 90% of people who are ready for it. I'm sure it'll suit me in 40 years time.I cope with retirement very well thank you, it's all about your state of mind, and your Pension.
Thought it would be an old school megger attached to each ear that you wind up yourself.......bugger it. I'll die with a 1553 round my neck and a Wiha VDE in my hand. sod retirement.
Each to their own I suppose - I intend to spend my final years writing angry letters to the council, obsessing over my wheelie bins and commenting on articles on local news websites.bugger it. I'll die with a 1553 round my neck and a Wiha VDE in my hand. sod retirement.
Thats sad, but you need to make plans, have hobbies and things to do, my old Lotus mechanic couldn't wait as he got himself an allotment.Sadly, as if to prove my point.

Not having a job is a far better option, will be packing the tent and off to Burnbake campsite for a good few days down Swanage way, you send me photos from the loft you are working in and I will send you the discreet photos from the nudist beach.A few more days at this temperature ...... and I’ll still have work .... one of the joys of being SE
