Think you had a bad day? Think of me. Managed to stupidly drill through main over head 3 phase supply cable. Yes it went bang. Yes it took out at least 4 streets of houses and one large commercial site.

No one was hurt and All sorted now, Just thought you'd all like a giggle haha

I feel for you , one of our lads went straight through the centre of the 3ph incomer to the farm which he was converting to tt , last year .

Blimey! Someone with that skill and accuracy is in the wrong business, he should be prospecting for gold!

That is a fair point .
The DNO boys were actually very impressed !

It was made worse by the fact the farmer had sworn blind that the incomer was the other side of the fence , so our lad did not bother to cat scan it first . Not realising that they usually ( I tend to find so ) leave a loop at the bottom of the transformer post !

I hope you haven't blunted the drill.

These days there aren't many blokes know how to sharpen them properly.

Just seen the piccy of the drill & think you should be able to braze a new bit of tungsten carbide on the end of it ok.

You'll need a green grit grinding wheel and a diamond lap to sharpen it though.

Piece of pi$$ really. ;)
