Everything's about speed these days you'll probably find a roll of wallpaper in the managers office with a list of limitations from the test written on the back

Are you talking Competent Persons Schemes or Electrical Contractors?

'electrical compliance' companies, or a variation on that theme, are what companies who carry out (usually dodgy) ISITEE, EICRs etc are calling themselves these days.
They generally offer a range of other services such as thermal imaging surveys, emergency lighting testing etc etc.
They are usually the kind of companies who try to force customers into having them complete the remedial work 'because if someone else does it you then have to pay us to come back and re-do the report to sign it off'

I'm sure there are companies who specialise in this kind of inspection testing work and carry it out properly, sadly my personal experience is of trying to make sense of or straighten out many nonsense reports.

My favourite EICR observation to date is a C3 given for old wiring colours (red and black) with a recommendation to have every conductor sleeved at its temrinations with brown and blue.
