You can use, make up any form as you see fit for any scenario you want, but it must as a minimum contain the fields required on the model forms in APP 6 of BS7671. If they don't, then your work is not compliant.

I haven't had a look at the one you mentioned, but if it complies and suits you, then all well and good.

Cheers………Howard

Howard, its highlighted due to the observations - rather than the layout!

You SHOULD read it! lol

Speechless!! He was thorough in the way he wanted to get a rewire out of it though. How many properties in the uk dating back that were wired over 40 years ago and that have no main earth bonding,no rcds,6mm main earth and 3036s,at a guess id say 100,000 +,quick we must all get a press release issued as all these houses are going to burn down because they do not conform with 2011 regulations ffs.:13:

OK...hers my views on it

off we go:

1) should be a 2....and whats `earth bonding` all about?

2) if good for continued service....then its a 3...no more...no less..

3) again...a 3

4) 3

5) eh?.....3

6) no code

7) what A is the bullit?

8) Ok..a 3

9) OK..a 2

10) direct short circuit would show 0Mohms....but a 2

11) whats this?

12) OK..a 2

13) OK..a 1

14) recommendation...not a requirement 3

15) again....a 3

16) 2

17) a 1....exposed live parts risk

18) a 1....exposed live parts risk...however, not the height issue the author of the report claims..

19) if plugtops are difficult to insert without damaging the flex then a 3...otherwise note...no code...

20 if in series (spur of a spur of a spur...and cable is not adequate for OPD..then a 2....if in star off this cooker feed....then how many points served off each branch...?

see what others make of this....

round 2:

21) ?...again..how have spurs been run?

22) a 2

23) rubbish.....a socket outlet (recommend unswitched for a fridge freezer) in adjacent cupboard....ot bar extention run behind kickboards (accessable) would be OK here...

24) how is `bad practice` a 2?

25) ok..a 3

26) OK..a 3

27) author has no concept of coding....this is a 3

28) rubbish.....a 3. The author is attempting to artificially create fails where it dont exist

29) nonsense. Older colour codes acceptable (2 different versions label missing at origin would constitute a 3)..

30) could be a 1....exposed live parts?

31) Ok..a 3....identification of conductors..

32) a 3

33) class 1 or class 2?...code 1 alloted by the author is rubbish in both cases...

34) OK..a 3

35) what rating is the fuse in the FCU....and CSA of cable?.....does it test OK?

36) 3....how is the cable run?

37) rubbish...its a 3

there...happy now?...lol...

I hope you haven't embarressed Jason Briscoe as a member of the forum? But I'm sure if he is on here the response from him will be appropriate!!

In the meantime I'll quickly go check none of my EICR's are anywhere on the web and can be disclosed to the world as bad practise .....
he has embarrassed himself......with nonsense like that....
