Hi Chaps
Got a new build site coming up with timber framed houses
Nothing new there except the exterior walls are pre insulated leaving a depth of 20mm including finished plasterboard to fit a back box
The only box i can find shallow enough is a fastfixbox which have a bracket screwed to stud then they clip to it but i used these 3 years ago on a site and they were crap
Anyone got some ideas im missing

Ask the manufacturers of these preinsulated walls as to what they recommend.
Also ask the damnfool architect who is no doubt behind this how he would like surface boxes for everything or maybe just fit thicker plasterboard so you can at least get 25mm boxes in.

I've come across a 20mm service gap on several occasions where the plasterboard is backed with 25mm ? insulation then a 20mm gap then the usual 150mm kingspan.

I had more than enough room for fast fix boxes.#

I'm sure Dave will correct me if I'm wrong :)
