custumer wants a timer to keep security lights perminately on till 11, then a p.i.r to switch them on after 11 when activated, got any ideas or could someone be so kind as to draw a diagram. thanks
Use the S/L on a PIR to go via a timer in parallel - the timer will just override the PIR whenever it needs to (as in, when it's set to be on) and when the timer is 'off' the PIR will show itself.
Wire the P I R as normal,, dosnt matter if its integral of the fitting or seprate,, then wire a timeclock permantly fed from the same supply and send the switched live from the time clock to the lamp side of the fitting.
an easy way would be buy a pir with an override terminal,connect one of those i gang timer light switches to put a live to the override terminal and set the times you want
