I've been using the Toughbuilt stuff for the last couple of years. It's really handy to be able to clip the various holders and pouches on and off as needed without removing the belt.

I use this belt, which is well padded: http://www.toughbuilt.com/product/padded-belt-heavy-duty-buckle

The pouch I use the most is this one as it has loads of screwdriver pockets along the outside edge. But it looks as if they might have discontinued it: ToughBuilt Electricians Tool Pouch with Shoulder Strap - Pouches - Belts & Pouches - Tool Storage & Workwear - http://williamstools.co.uk/tool-storage-workwear/belts-pouches/pouches/toughbuilt-electricians-tool-pouch-with-shoulder-strap.html

Cheers mate I like the look of that set up.

Like I said the tool CK tool belt is the why to go, think the thing with trousers with flappy pockets is you do not have enough compartments to put all your stuff in and if you can you need to keep pulling your trousers up, with a tool belt it works well with ladder Work, first fix and just changing Lamps,

i got a plano,
something like this one, maybe bit older version
Plano PNO535TX 535TX Electricians Tool Pouch - http://www.ffx.co.uk/tools/product/Plano-Pno535Tx-8010904653518-535Tx-Electricians-Tool-Pouch
fits whatever i need to take up the ladder with me and is nicely padded comfortable to wear.
this one looks nice too, recent irwin kit is quite a good quality
Irwin IRW10506535 Electricians Pouch R72500 - http://www.ffx.co.uk/tools/product/Irwin-Irw10506535-5706915065350-Electricians-Pouch-R72500

that toughbuilt stuff looks like a robocop combined with a x-mas tree, way too big and too many pockets for things to get lost .

Worth mentioning that your employer is responsible for issuing PPE. I'm not directly employed so buy my own and that's nice as I'm quite fussy...

I’ve found a Megger one for £23 from Screwfix. I’ll get that.
