Filing the middle out of a screwdriver you cowboy how much do you charge the customer for that ? I use a grinder much faster pmsl

COWBOY!!! how very dare you. Intuitive, creative, outside the box thinking genius i think i prefer.

Pfft, the absolute cheek, as if i charge them more than the time it takes me to file it out with a needle file so, only about.... well lets see, 2 hours @ 45ph so ÂŁ90 mate?! seems fair to me.

Thanks for the replies; some useful some not so :)

i'll pop into local screwfix and see what i can find.

Regarding modifying a tool to accept the screw head is a no no for me... The white face plate looks like it will scratch just for looking at it.

For me it would all depend on how many I had to do.

If it was only a few, then I wouldn't waste my time "modifying"a tool - or wasting my money buying a tool. I would just find two pins of some kind that fit the holes, poke one into each hole then grip and turn both of them with a pair of pliers .... simples !!! :)

Or a staple out of your stapler:eek:
