Discuss Tory and Lib Dems in the Electricians Chat - Off Topic Chat area at ElectriciansForums.net

You couldn't do that as some do gooder would be screaming it's a breach off their human rights, what about the human rights of the person they have commited their crime against.

I have thought about it and someone would have to research what the carbon foot print for the tar would be?

Prisons for most are just like being sent to your bedroom daily, where you can chill out on your playstation watch tv and get stoned. Those protester who got caught doing all that damage for cheaper tuition fees could do a degree for free if they go to prison, makes you think?

i voted Lib Dem..!! as i do not like my local Tory Candidate and from local heritage i would be kicked to Fcuk if i voted for them any way!

Labour on the other hand are a bunch of moronic idiots who think they have a god given right to be in charge as they "represent" the majority apparently!

Not quite sure this is the place for discussing politics and politicians BUT
heres my 2p's worth

They are all the same bent as a nine bob bit
They all probably start off with high ideals and get corrupted by there fellows
The founders of the labour party will be turning in their graves to see what it has become.
A question i would like to ask is did any one in Scotland vote for a Tory i doubt it but we will have to suffer them again as we did under thatcher .
Will it get better NO not for a beep long time.

How about this for an idea ..and its a serious one two mp's for each district each doing half the term .
year 1 at work in a min wage job year 2 sitting swigging nips in parliament
the second mp for the district swaps over at the end of the year and does his year on the £7 an hour 40+ hrs a week job .
Any slacking at the work job and he's out of parliament.

Bl**dy sure the politicians would be making things better if they had to get there hanz dirty .

You can maybe tell i grew up in the thatcher era in scotland and seen what she did to my area and there would be no way i could ever vote for that party.

I most likely have a better reason than most to be anti, tory as Maggie was instrumental in destroying not only the industry that I trained in, the pits but whole communities, though it was originally a labour conception for the closures.

But i would not vote Labour if they were the last party in the UK. They have bankrupted the country with idealistic policies of spend spend spend, and their leader as killed some fine young men of our country on a lie .............. For me that is the most heinious of acts a leader can do, it is bad enough having to ask your young men to fight a war, but on a lie, there is no words to describe it.

malcolm
If they did as i suggested and for there year at work was a private soldier in the infantry in the firing line i am beep beep sure they widnae be there when they had a chance to vote on it the following year..

I heard a few people saying they weren't going to vote because of the expenses scandal but I don't see how giving them less bits of paper to count up is any kind of protest - surely it would have been better to vote for an outsider (UKIP, BNP, Independent, fringe candidate) or at the very least deliberately spoil the ballot paper.
IMO if you don't help vote them out you can't really complain about whoever gets in and what they do.

'Brewsters Millions' - Vote 'NONE OF THE ABOVE' :D

At least with a coalition government, two heads get to have a say. No one party can dictate. I voted for this lot at the last election, as Labour wasn't a viable alternative in my mind. The country is in a right mess, this govt or the next (whoever it maybe) wont sort it out either, it will be 20 years till we recover from this.

Its no good anyone crying about cuts, they have to happen, the money needs to come from somewhere. But there is no need to slash spending on services, we need to get rid of the waste. Stop paying layabouts to do sod all, stop paying scroungers, and start taxing benefits at the same rate as income tax and NI, thats just for a start. Then we get onto immigration, well we could go on forever, but my stance is, If you haven't paid in, you can't draw out, nor can you use our fine NHS and other services. If we adopt this stance then the problem will go away.

I won't say anymore in case UNG ruptures his spleen ( joking)

I think you will agree there is nothing wrong with good reasoned debating:cool::cool:

When I started in the industry in the 70's Labour were in power there was plenty of overtime but Labours wage restraint policy meant working for an hourly rate set in 1975 until they were kicked out in 79. As they say what goes around comes around, except Labour's wage restraint this time was to import lots of cheap labour from abroad and this time we are stuck with it making it difficult to negotiate a better rate for the job unlike 1980.

That's why voting Labour is a no no for me
