Transformer for low voltage lights?

Anyone point me in the direction of a decent brand of transformer that will be fed from a dimmer switch? What exact type do I need? Have heard of some transformers packin' in after weeks.

4 low voltage halogen recessed lights. Apparently had a touch sensitive switch in previously but is currently just a standard switch & standard transformer. A dimmer is to be installed though.

Best you select the tranny and the dimmer withn care then
