just priced a job to do tommorow, it is an outside water feature and it has a transformer plug on the end. only just thought of this on returning home. Had planned a double ip rated socket to connect it too but don't think i would be able to close lid. anyone had this problem before?

You clocked the issue too late the plug is not suitable for the socket outlet or vice versa.... ring your customer and explain you may need to rethink the set-up i assume the socket lid has to be shut and gripped on flex to give IP rating required ....or as above find a suitably larger box to suit the set-up.... if you can do this all before install date :wink5:

sounding better so connections are hidden, but ip rated box might be cheaper and she don't need that many sockets, next i need two spikes to mount them will have a look for some timber in cellar.
