Having only whipped through this thread,it seems you have no testing to indicate a fault,no fault on existing, connected to correct neutral bar etc and yet it trips the Rcd when its connected?
Somethings amiss with either your testing or your tester or your consumer unit connections

Having said that, split the ring and connect one half at a time and see where that gets you,at least having one half to hold in will get you started

he has ins res of 0 between N - CPC

This is certainly a game of move the goalposts to suit
The theme of the thread was a unusual circumstance, that is until I was enlightened by elsparko, thanks

I have installed a new ring main in a kitchen extension and
tested for continuity and insulation resistance before connecting to Consumer Unit.

It then transpires on a second attempt

The insulation resistance are Line to Neutral ˃500 M Ohms Line to CPC ˃500 M Ohms. Sadly, the Neutral to CPC was 0.

The problem is one that is found and rectified on everyday installations, its run of the mill
The concerning problem is how on earth did a test one day and the same test the next have differing outcomes
Aside from the installation fault Simon,It seems you need to get your testing sharpened up
