Truss Joist

Any body worked with these? Havnt worked with them before. New Build with Truss joist, with steel/galve webing/support along its length. No drilling neccassary! Any tips with cable support and routing? Will need alot of cable ties i should imagine.

not at all, run your cables towards the outside then clip them, simple
the new joists may be "i" beams they have circular knockouts just hit the knockouts with a hammer then pass your cables thro them

Yes, done about 70 houses with these. Nice and easy, as you say, and yes loads of cable ties, just have to be a bit careful with avoiding the sharp edges.

I use the metal coated strapping on the longer runs and screw to top joist and let the loop hang down

Look as if they will last 5 minutes, compared with how they used to be!! lol!!

Used em loads too cable ties first fix is a doddle

there great joist save time drilling holes in them, and later on if they want extra sockets u do not need to take up loads of the floor

So you end up with cable sandwiched between insulation? Just asking, as not come across houses with these before.

just fire them cables straight through, or if running along, a few big loops with cable ties. yee haa!
