What are peoples thoughts on trustmark? Last year i paid to become trustmark registered thinking its goverment recognised and that most councils would promote it, this year i find my local council has brought out its own version at twice the cost and is promoting that exclusivley!
Not a happy bunny:mad2:

Tend to agree with Liam ^^^^^^

Don't think many people know what it is... Those who do only know because they've seen "Trustmark" slagged off on Watchdog a couple of times

True but depending on your target market another sticker on the side of your van could be a good thing?
But yes I think I might save my £60 this year

The best sticker to put on the side of your van would be word of mouth ( i know that isn't possible but i like it ha)

and tbh alot of times with councils its so corrupted its not what you know or how cheap you are its who you know and how big the bung is.

Im not suprised £60 and a promise was all it took to get

The problem with trustmark is that it can be bought without merit and therefore isn't worth the paper its printed on. Such a mark should be earnt by good testimonials given to your scheme via customers!

lololol The last set of Trustmark stickers (the 3 tick ones) were a right pain to get off... I took some of the top coat paint of my escort van when they sent the new ones.

I always always get stickers on magnetic strips so I don't have this problem. They are ace they can be removed as you see fit etc.

Only problem is I'm sick of paying 20 pound per sticker. Anyone know where you can get the magnetic material from?

Trustmark is just another money pit and you don't need it. You've posted elsewhere about all the money you've spent on advertising. Why throw good money away on things like this. You need to get your name out there, not cover your van with worthless stickers.

Yes i have contacts in the sign industry and they can do pretty much anything you want including magnetics ..If you have anything specific just ask ..

72-van

You can get the magnetic stuff in hobbycraft, but you have to maqke sure its the right thickness for 'vehicle grade'.

Personally I have trustmark because it is another logo to put on things and it balances the elecsa logo well. That is the only reason I have ever had it, and it's only £30 through elecsa. Its not going to actually bring in more work, but it may be a bit eye-catching to people who are sitting on the fence.

What?????
You spend £30 a year for something that you think looks good and is pleasing to the eye, yet you admit doesn't bring you any extra work? Why don't you just make a nice little logo of your own, it will look nice and not cost you any money.

Sorry Rocker, no offense intended here, but that has to be the daftest reason I've ever heard for burning £30 :)
