panicoll

went to a property last week. main intake off a transformer on pole but when SWA enters cutout fuse line, neutral + earth supplied from supply authority.

I would say TN-C-S? Am i right?

any ways main question is there is a 10 way single phase board non RCD protected but they guy is adding an extension to the house so can i add new ring and lighting circuit off a separate 2 way RCD DB and have nothing to do with the existing install ?

You could split tails as you suggest, however for the extra ÂŁ150 or so I would be inclined to talk to your customer and upgrade the lot together! Best practice, best for customer, I think and a couple more quid in your pocket!

Sounds like PME, no stickers stating PME post pics for confirmation, What was Ze

yeah PME was posted. not installed yet as i do not have the job the guy as normal doesnt have a lot of monies.... but i think i will split the tails and then if the old install is **** nothing to do with me.

I have had many a PME installations with no labels on.

even a Ze may be low enough on a TNS to make you think its PME.

Installation wise, they are similar, although you should still get in contact with the DNO to confirm.

Jason, you and I could look at it and decide instantly what it is, how else can I/we offer guidance on this???

Just had my bloomin annual assessment and on the cert I marked it as both TNS and PME, obviously got pulled up on it, said that yes it was both.....He had to look as I dont think he believed me!

And as promissed I did moan about the quality of the stickers, the NIC ones are better.
