So what are people's thoughts on this, iv got to wire out a shipping container, regarding the supply existing is a tt, container is about 5 meters away from existing building, I'm going to put an independent stake in for this but just seems pointless as the existing stake is so close to this one, would you use the existing stake- through swa feed
 
So long as you have a decent earth from the existing Earth rod installation then there would be no need to add another rod.
If you have a poor Ra then another rod to supplement the whole earthing system would not go amiss.
Just keep them more than 1.5 (ish) times the depth of the longest rod apart to keep them independent.
