Hi,

Through other posts on here I've diagnosed a problem with the capacitor on my Beko tumble dryer. The problem is, now I have opened the panels up, the capacitor is soldered at the pin connections rather than having crimped attachments. Am I alright to snip the wires and solder them to the new capacitor? If so, do they have to go to a specific pin, or does it not matter? No sign of any identification marks.

Cheers

you can solder them , but make sure they go on the same termials as before. be a good idea to fit some heat shrink sleevin over the connections.

looks like it 2 capacitors . need clear pics of both the label on the can and the connections on the ols one.

right. that clearsit up. it's 1 capacitor. it was seeing the other pic. looked like 3 terminals. leads can go either way round. it doesn't matter which way.

but we d
Which is what I said in the first place.
It's an AC motor. AC doesn't have polarity.
idn't originally know what it was. it could have been a smoothing capacitor on the PCB. original pic appeared to have 3 terminals.
