My wife sometimes complains about the amount of time I spend on here, my response is always if she would watch something on telly that actually interested me then I'd watch it with her and talk to her about it rather than the crap I usually talk. Eastbloodyenders, how can they cram so much abject misery into such a small area? Hollyoaks, could it be any more far fetched? How many programs about women having babies do you really need to watch? I've been in the same room when 3 were born and that's quite enough for me thanks very much. Etc etc
She's watching something now called Take Me Out, most of the contestants are either so ugly or so stupid even a bloody sniper wouldn't take them out.
Is it just me?

I'm so lucky that I dont have a wife that watches soaps. Unlucky for her she has a husband that watches golf. Sad I know but I just like seeing how the game should be payed and not how I play lol.

I suppose it's a bit of a double edged sword, she used to come to my saturday afternoon rugby games but she never complained about that though

Yep she was too busy looking at all those young blokes in tight shorts. Thats why my wife goes to the RL games lol.

ps Rhino's in the final again. Now thats one bit of telly I wont be missing. Ticket prices are costing too much of my beer allowence. I'll probaly end up going to Old Trafford again :puke: hate that place.

I used to play rugby (played hooker) played chess (collect sets now but still love playing and beating the americans online) am on twitter, facebook and this forum; i'm afraid to say my wife got a raw deal with me so she's entitled to watch what she wants on tv.......lol

Me and the wife do quite well, she doesn't watch soaps and I don't watch sport, so we don't do too bad. The main probs we have is that I like to watch 'boring' documentaries and she really doesn't. As for being on the computer, she's on it far more than me, I have to sneak on it for a few mins when she goes to the bog or to make a brew.

Luckily, Geordie_Spark and I like very similar programmes, ie Classic car restorations, Car racing, Ice Road Truckers, Gold Rush etc., where we differ is Midwives, One Born Every Minute, 24 hours in A&E.......... and of course EmmerstreetdaleEnders. :tt1:

mine goes mental when i put on WWII documentaries. she says i know more about hitler than eva braun ever did. it really pees her off when i try telling her the relative meritsw of the spitfire and Me109

I tend to compromise, when the tv gets too bad for me to even stay in the room... P.C. it is.
If I can stand being in the same room as the rubbish t.v. then I surf, game etc. on a tablet.
That way I can show her anything interesting on the web and nod and say "yes dear" at appropriate moments during coronationenderdalefarm
