Went to look at a kitchen refit today. Did a bit of investigation work and the kitchen appears to have a twin and earth buried direct into the floor.its rcd protect however in my opinion this is bad practice?

On another note iv got take a new cooker supply to annual and in the middle of the kitchen. I planned to do this in 25mm conduit buried in the floor.?

Another sparky has been on the job and done various alterations to lighting etc and hasn't put this on a rcd or certified the work.

what about black enamalled conduit in cast concrete?
the acid in this fast setting conctete ate the conduit away
just a hole remained within the cast concrete
then earth was then lost

JUST TO SAY THIS AGAIN - I'm not saying that I like this - but you can't go slating someone for not commenting on it in a report.

Sorry to butt in, but I have a similar issue at present.

I need to run 2m of 16mm earth cable under a floor which is to be covered in concrete. I plan to run flexible conduit which pops up through the concrete at both ends to protect the cable and enable cables to be pulled through again in the future if the need arises. Would you agree that this is okay?

In principle yes, it's the next method in the list. If you used the galv tube idea then you might not need the cable - and it might do wonders for your Zs!
