personal preference and I know it's there even once it been plastered over :D I always like to think someone will come around afterwards and say to themselves he did a good job on this and remark to the customer, I know the flip side to this is they would probably think waste of time and no point but it's just how I like doing it. Every man has his own way of doing a job;)

Do you use conduit saddlers aswell?
 
Have tried using Crampet fixings they work quite well but you have to go a little deep to get them below the surface. Usually use two screws either side of the conduit and get the heads to nip it in I use Orbix Pan heads they have large heads that overlap the conduit quite nicely.
