Hi all.

Ive very recently started college in my first year of an apprenticeship and today I wired a two way switch light. It all worked as it should until I noticed that it was on when both switches were in the same position and off when they differed. Probably a simple solution but would just like to know why this could be? Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers!

You must one hell of a squint mate :)

it might not bug others but when all lights are off and there is a two way switch that is in the incorrect position it bothers me.
we were not talking about intermediate as that obviously gives more multiples in the same way when there is a 2 gang switch near to a staircase I prefer the light nearest to the staircase to be the staircase lighting and when there are three rows of spotlights in a room that the switch represents the rows in the order they are presented, it doesn't matter if they are not but it does matter to me. and I would imagine some of the others too

Two way switche's on the wall, that dont bother me at all.

I know the song,I just can't remember the name of the singer

don't they get you to draw a diagram when working out 2 way switches anymore at college? If you did, you would know that the switches no longer follow the up/down position like a 1 way switch
