I need something explaining to me please.South east £356m for 22 jobs but North East just £128m investment for 1413 jobs would it not have been better to put the mone where jobs could be created or am i missing something.Obviously the north east is my area so stood out for me.

From the Telegraph earlier this week .....

A government consultation has not yet concluded, so there is a chance that Greg Barker, the climate change minister, could offer a reprieve to some projects.
He is considering whether to “phase in” the cuts to help people who will narrowly miss the deadline, according to sources in the department.
However, he will only be able to do this if there is enough money left in the £867 million budget after the consultation period finishes at the end of the year

Small scale PV currently installed (as per DECC MCS spreadsheet) is:

0-4kW - 625 MW @ 43.3.p
4-10kW - 40 MW @ 37.8p
10-50kW - 94 MW @ 32.9p

plus (unknown) amount over that at 30.7p

If each is going to generate at 850kWh/kWp then the annual costs are currently:

0-4kW - 625 MW 531,250kWh @ 43.3.p = £230 million
4-10kW - 40 MW 34,000kWh @ 37.8p = £13 million
10-50kW - 94 MW 79.900kWh @ 32.9p = £26 million

Total £269 million per year. Plus 5% (or so) RPI added from April each year.

2012/13 £283 million
2013/14 £297 million
2014/15 £312 million

So, ignoring the costs for the current year, the next 3 years will cost a total £892 million.

The 'budget' is well and truly blown even with no further installations. And this ignores all large-scale PV and all the other technologies.

I think we just need to wait for the 4th of jan now see what gov do ? then take it from there .
If a rush does start I will be taking part as maybe after april the market will be dead If the tariff goes below 21.1p
it will not be a good investment and if the C grading inplace we might as well forget it.

I don't know what's going to happen. If the scheme really has an unchangeable 'budget' of £867 million then DECC will have to close it completely from the 4th January.

the cost isn't the factor, thats a smokescreen. FiTS costs the Goverment nothing, dole does.
It's about keeping pally with the big 6, nothing more nothing less
