never installed one of these before, always used the element on a roll type. question is how to cut to turn a corner 90 degrees without leaving a gap in the mat.
 
I normally roll out the mat and try and work out the best points to cut the mesh allowing for the turns so as to keep the coverage as consistent as possible. Its pretty straight forward once you get your head around it and much quicker to install (in my experience) than the element on a roll type
 
I did one, where the manufacturer stated not to cut the mat, but they would do a bespoke.

Client was having no of that. So he bought the mats, and we did it together, but he took on the responsibility, if it went wrong. It didn’t as it happened, but we just took the scissors to the mat, then turned about to fit. Stuck bits with tape.
