Hi, I have a KitchenAid dishwasher that I used for less than 2 years, and then we moved and took it with us, but because the house was with new appliances I didn't decide to install the one I brought (from Michigan to South Carolina) and it was kept packed and in the garage for 6 years now. I'm debating if I should install it or give away (for parts etc.). I looked underneath and all wiring, pipes, pumps look nice and clean, but because it wasn't used for so long I'm wondering if there could be any buildup or corrosion and if I am not going to just waste time by installing it. Any recommendations? Any easy checks I could do to see if there's no leaks, if heater/pump works?
Asking because it was a really good dishwasher.

It could not hurt to run it outside to see how it runs, and it will be a better appliance then what is sold today, it used to be that Whirlpool or one of their brands like KitchenAid were my go to brand, they are, still better then garbage brands like LG (lousy Goods) or Samsung, in the end I think you will do fine.

I will give it a shot, when it gets warmer:)
For what it's worth I used to work for Whirlpool and I know the appliances in the past were good, I worked in product development
