On one job, a Groundworker nicked the sheath on the main feed from the site tx, to the panel incomer. As I knew it was being replaced in a few weeks due to an upgrade (the reason I was on site) I said I'd have a look.
i peeled the sheath back to see if he'd damaged the lead, and all was fine. At that moment I started to shake and make funny noises. The bloke who'd nicked the cable was terrified, I could see it in his eyes. About ten blokes were laughing about it for weeks.
the git set his lads on me, they pinned me down, and I was given an impromptu bath.
Well, I did deserve it :)

While I was labouring for a plasterer with another one of my mates, the spreads favourite trick was to put his roll up in my mates shoe while he was troweling up on the steps, he'd stand back and count to about ten as it burnt through his sock and await the reaction. Which was always funny

a trick me and one of the lads once did: At dale barracks we used one of the many plant rooms to sit in at breaks, one of our gas fitters had no sense of humour, and due to a previous practical joke, had moved himself into a different plant room complete with a table and chair, over a couple of weeks each day we'd cut a few mm off his table when he was out. we knew he'd guessed what was happening but wouldnt say anything. He finally snapped when after lowreing it to only a foot off the floor, we fixed steel conduit to it so the top of the table was touching the ceiling. he lost his temper and threw a cup at me, i ducked and it smashed against the wall.

I ate my apprentices Jaffa cakes once then put a dead mouse in the packet and sealed the lid back on with a heat gun, I still haven't admitted it to this day

Engineers Marking Blue (think of dark blue shoe polish) smeared around the black plastic bog seat and black plastic telephone earpiece was quite funny.

Cling film stretched tight so it's transparent right across the top of the bog below the seat was another one.

Fiery Jack round the bog seats at South Tyneside College, or South Shields Marine And Technical College as it was then.
Guilty as charged your honour.

Until I was sparky'ing I worked in be motor trade, master tech/auto electrician, one of my tricks was if someone else in the work shop was doing any electrical work on a car, I'd sneak up with a short length of wire, held between 2 pairs of mole grips and drop it straight across the battery terminals, took about half a second before the insulation would be burnt off, id hide and leave that bunt electrical smell.
A older lad in the workshop told me stories about I'm rigging a length of cable from a ignition coil, through the wall into the tea room, then threaded it through the cushion of the seat the apprentice sat in, then come tea break they'd just tart the car up!

This is the same guy.
dont know if you know but overalls have holes in so you can get at your trouser pockets though your overall pockets.
anyway, he'd be working under a raised up car, already had slipped his man hood into his overall pocket, with arms stretched up making out he was working in a tight area would say to the young lad, "just pass me that spanner out of me pocket"
