Okay,

So we've been running with various bugs for ages. The transfer was long overdue. We've done it now, we're fully on the new server.

I'm tweaking the forum now and fixing the bugs so give me a couple of days before you start to tell me what's not working etc please. :)

After looking at it again, I think you're right.

But anyway. It's not a problem. Think it's times new roman isn't it that does that?

Yeah, Titillium is a google font and I haven't got round to adding the code here yet. We're sort of piggy-backing off tilersforums.co.uk with some content here while I sort it out.

Hi Dan,

Overall, I'm liking the new look, but it's got that trend that a lot of new sites have.... varying shades of grey text in small fonts. I'm struggling to read some of the text because there just isn't enough contrast between the background and the grey text, like some of the detail under the thread title on the new posts page, and username/timestamp on posts.

This is maybe the 12th generation setup you have here. You've skipped all the testing I did on tilersforums. It's designed to make the content that matters stand out. The thread titles on the new posts page. And the posts on the thread page.

I can tweak a bit but let me finish setting it all up first. :)

Ahhh it's lagging.

Yeah we're bringing in the plumbers forum so the servers are both under high load right now. I've also disabled caching so people can actually visit the site instead of hitting a no-loading page (many were stuck on that, I can enable caching again in a few hours).

Hang in there matey. We'll sort it out fully before tomorrow but until then might find the odd glitch.

You've just posted one.

Post a reply where mate?
I know mate, so sorry I know you are busy I couldn't post it earlier on this morning, went back to to it and thought I would try again and bingo it went so I waited until you replied , didn't want to inundate you with messages, all OK now sorry for bothering you.

It's okay P don't worry about it matey. I'll only reply when I can anyway.

Things are going smoother here than our plumbing forum which is still offline!!!:mad::mad:

Why do web designers do this so frequently?! I also struggle to see what is going on, it is a nightmare when viewing on LCD screens that don't have a very wide viewing angle. Light grey on white, that colour scheme must have been designed by the same dick head that picked the harmonised 3 phase colours.

It would be good to have some borders around the different parts of the page too, at the moment everything sort of blends in to one thing is a cluttered messy sort of way.
