no not the delivery firm.
office has a 3 gang trailing socket powering a pc tower and 2 monitors .They say they are experiencing very short power cuts (less than a second) taking out the pc.Thinking of a UPS in front of trailing skt. Any ideas guys ? ring final checks etc are fine

Good link, very useful.

If you do go for a UPS be aware of the differences with UPS's :-
"Offline" - (sometimes called "backup") only switches over to battery when it senses no supply, the better one's switch over quicker than cheepies.
"Line Interactive" - closely follows the input power and switches over quicker than "offline" a good compromise (I personally like the APC Smart UPS Range)
"Online" - equipment is running on a permanently smoothed supply - with no interruption at all when supply is lost - but expensive, normally used for servers and very expensive kit.

As always you need to check the manufacturers data and compare the tech. specs rather than the sales blurb.

UPS unit would be a good addition. But I'd also be keen to find out why they are having these power cuts

Trailing leads would be a good place to start, people tripping on leads and re plugging before anyone notices?
