Hi, my other half is an electrician, he loves tools and gadgets - can any of you electricians recommend some usefull things I could get him for xmas

the best thing with the snickers is that they hold in when your kneeling around. i have had othres that when i was working would slip around and was forever moving them.
another poss is maybe a site radio. have a look and see what cordless tools he has and price the radio. dewalt makita and bosch do them

So do Ryobi, my 18v one is the best bits of kit on the Van after the kettle

I wouldn't be without my
Weidmuller cutters.
I use them everyday for stripping and cutting. They go through 25mm tails like a knife through butter! You wouldn't find them in the UK

The snickers trousers are a good gift idea!

Hi, new to the forum (but not sparking) - those sound great, but link doesn't work - which ones do you use? the KTF 25's? How much did you pay? They look like the kind of thing I want in my tool kit....

I'm secomding cable rods, though if he doesn't already have a set, get the cheaper 'draper' set from amazon - they are about a tenner and brilliant! (get the 10X1m set) A great starter kit (also if he does have a set but it is blue and from screwfix, get him the Draper ones they are much better).

A cable jack is a great time saver if he doesn't have one (or if he's made his own). I have this one off ebay, it's really good and is about 20-30 quid cheaper than many very similar ones.

Also, an inspection camera is a very useful gadget that is lacking in many a tool box.

A six foot freeform flexible drill bit for stud walls is amazing.
