I have 3 rolls of 1omm twin and earth in old colours, 3 50m rolls to be exact unopened still shrink wrapped. Been lurking in the garage for some time now and having sorted out am unsure what to do.

Is there a regulation actually saying the cable can not be used if it has been adequately sleeved / conductors marked/labelled appropriately?
obviously the colours changed but its arguably no different to using say a 4 core swa and labelling the conductors up for single phase work.
current retail prices for 150m of 10mm would be >£150 so dont want to scrap it unless I have too as it would bring in considerably less than buying more 10mm.
coincidentally its rare i buy 10mm these days use a fair bit of 6mm though.

I thought people used old-colours T&E when they wanted to pretend the work was done a long time ago, which might explain if it commands a good price on eBay?

People will pay a very high price for nostalgia

If I’m doing work in my old house which is all red/black I want to keep it all red/black I can source my cable via eBay or car boots

People pay top money for red and black t&e???
That’s bonkers. But yeh... I see it as nostalgic.

I’ve got an old round pound coin and a single use plastic maccy d drinking straw.
Staring the bidding off at a tenner each?

the colours are both insulation and identification. The red and black still insulates fine but you can't use it for identification.
Although the regs say the conductors should preferably be identified throughout their length (i.e. coloured insulation), oversleeving identifies them enough to comply.
If you really want to mess people around, use black for line and red for neutral. ;)
All in my opinion!
