I’m looking to buy a hoover for work. As I am not a fan of using customers due to them being rather expensive. Any recommendations as to what to buy?

If it's just for general cleaning up, a Henry every time. Virtually indestructible and, when you do manage to break it, easy enough to repair.

general use a Henry. if tou'redoing a lot of chasing with a wall chaser, there are more powerful ones. some even switch on auto when you start the chaser, but a Henry will be good if you're notfussed about a bit of dust on mrs. coggins' shagpile.

I have the nilfisk. I've had it for around a year now and I am very happy with it. Its a vacuum cleaner/dust extractor so if you just need a vacuum cleaner then perhaps the Henry would be better as I expect it is cheaper and lighter. Although I didn't find the Nilfisk that expensive.

I did look at a Nilfisk. I found this one on screwfix which looks to be a good buy tbh:

I’ve used Numatic Hoovers before. They are excellent. It also helps that you can buy all the replacement parts and that they are easy to fix when they do go wrong.

I got this but was a lot cheaper then (Still from Screwfix) . I wanted a wet ability as you never ever know when you might need it !! The filter has lasted me 3 years of abuse .I really clean it out every month with a brush and compressed air . Its a bloody good unit ! I only use my Festool when i am using my Festool tools for wood /dust extraction etc . It would be useless as a site hoover

If its for the odd bit of clearing/dust etc. a cordless one on whichever platform you use might do, although a pricier option!
