First post here, not the best of introductions and not the best start to a sunday but vans been broken into last night and all they've taken were 2 wall chasers,a Hilti DC SE20 and Makita SG1250 so obviously someones been keeping an eye on the contents of the van.Basically just want to put it out there and if anyone hears of either of these being sold or anyone with newly acquired second hand ones in the london area, any help or leads to getting them back would be much appreciated and a reward coming their way.obviously the police aren't interested and nobody saw or heard anything, usual nonsense.

Thanks for keeping an eye out guys but maybe the most ironic thing is the blades on my hilti chaser were literally brand spanking new bought on thursday and unused with a brand new pin wrench aswell for it which i got on tuesday, usually take both of the chasers out of the van but as it always goes,i didnt this time.you couldnt script luck like this

I got done a couple of weeks ago, worst thing is there was no forced entry so im presumming i either forgot to lock it, pressed the wrong button on the fob or pressed the button but it didnt transmit like they do sometimes. They just went straight for any cases, took all my cordless gear including cordless erbauer SDS, and my bosch multicutter, they also took a small makita flightcase obviously as it looked like a drill case, but it just had a load of holesaws in it, they also took my brand new DAB site radio, which id only used twice, suffice to say im double checking if the van is locked and bringing gear inside everynight now.

really, thats worth knowing, i didnt make an isnurance claim because i didnt think i would be able to prove the van was locked, and i didnt want my premium to go up for nothing, cheers

they are only after the power tools, when the went into mine they didn't knick a thing, they did my brothers van who was parked next to me, also a fiat doblo and the popped the window behind the drivers seat as they couldnt get thru the back doors and they knicked a dewalt bag, sadly for my brother it had his hand tools in, a power tool you can replace but that hit him hard.

jase - have a look under your drivers door handle there is a way of opening lots of vans, they basically punch a screwdriver in there and bingo the doors open, they broke into mine in the b and q car park in cricklewood in the middle of the day,

Mine got done there last year. Went in for literally 2 mins to get a stanley knife. Came back to find the back door lock popped and all my test gear gone!

I was looking at brand new straight from factory Dewalt and Makita Drill cases (replacement cases) in a local tool shop, rows and rows of them....£5 each....and was thinking of putting a couple of bricks in along with a GPS and then padlocking shut....they will take them away thinking nice new drills, remove the padlock and by that time their position will be known...
