cost less because it's a throwback to the 90's. it's as tech advanced as a roman chariot.ldv pilot?, good little engine, costs much less than a transit, they come ex post office with low miles and looked after.

I think he was making reference to the fact VW have hardly been trustworthy with their diesels of late...
do you keep fish in them then?i thought as much. So they tried to avoid a bigger bill to the government, who doesn't? Nah but on a serious note regardless of what they put down on paper they are still tanks!
One thing to consider these days is how you drive, all local work and a lot of stop start short journeys and a diesel will prove a very expensive mistake. This is due to a heinous device fitted to all modern diesels called the particulate filter (DPF)....they need regular decent runs in order to regenerate the filter as it clogs. DPF problems caused by short journey usage are eye wateringly expensive to fix, get a petrol if you stay local.
