Hi All

After a bit of help if poss.
I recently had a new boiler installed and during the removal of the old water cylinder the plumber ripped out feed for the alarm system by "accident" and now it is not working at all. I put in a new t+e and have disconnected the battery and mains and then put back together but nothing changes. The red tamper light is constant on the keypads and also the green is constant above it for unset. It randomly went off last night before I put new feed in and there was no mains power and our code would not work, so ended up taking cover off and removing power supply fuse. I have tried the eng codes 4321 and 1234 but nothing changes state.

Does anyone one have any other possible solutions.......

thanks
chris

I think you will find the battery has seen better days and needs replacing. How old is the battery as running the panel on battery only for a while will often kill an old (4 - 5yrs + ) battery when you restore the power and try to charge it

It was running on the battery alone for almost 12 hours so I will change that and see if that works.

thanks

Suggest if the battery has run low, then the system will require resetting.
Follow instructions in manual for lost codes (NVM reset) all settings and codes will revert back to factory set

It's not a battery fault if it powered the system for 12 hours. 12 hours is the minimum time it should hold for on a domestic system if I remember right?
