Had my pride and joy ,£1000 self built mountain bike stolen out of back yard this afternoon :-(
Mega Gutted :-(
Was cleaning chain outside and went inside to make brew and a couple phone calls , came out 10 mins later and found rear gate open and bike gone.
All my fault , not even insured either.
Every time i go in kitchen theres a big empty corner were the bike should be - sickner.

One day , whether next month or in 10 years , that individual is going to feel pain dealt from my hands.

quick tip,sounds like someone who,s seen it or knows you get out and find the local smackheads offer one a ton to find it and see how quick it turns up or you get a tip as to where it is.I think you know what to do after that,best of luck mate hope you get it back soon.

Mate, same thing (almost) happened to me years ago - I went to put it on the car to actually go out for the weekend and it had disappeared. Buggered up my weekend as well as the loss. I feel your pain.

Little scrotes, I hate thiefs alot more than most other type of criminal. Makes me mad thinking someones hard work is gone in a instance just for their benefit.

As has been suggested above scour the car boots tomorrow and local add mags etc for it. But take a couple of big fellas along too just for insurance.

I know exactly how you're feeling mate, loading out after a gig once a guy thought it would be ok to help himself to my bass guitar which had recently cost me best part of £1k.
He didn't realise it was pretty distinctive and a few months later we went to see a local band and their bass player had it, I clocked it as soon as I walked in. Nipped home, quickly got the bill for it (which I always insist the shop puts the serial number on it) and called the constabulary on the way back to the bar where he was playing.
His face was a picture as he tried to tell the boys in blue it had been his since brand new.
I was lucky, I hope you will be too.
