Went the other day to fit some light fittings in a mates house he’s just inherited, and ended up having to Rewire the upstairs lights as they were wired in TRS
Whilst up in the loft I found these....

You'd be surprised how early they started. My local museum has electric cars that are pre first world war, and I think they were around decades before that.

Carried out a EICR on a customers house and came across this in the airing cupboard. They asked me to remove it before anyone asks!!!

It has a sticker inside which dates it to 1988.

1988....not that old really, compared to some of the things I’ve came across in Durham Uni, a lot from 1960s, still powered up and working!(just about)
That time clock looks in good nick... I cannot see today’s stuff lasting 30 years!

Good for training you can visually follow the internal wiring

^^ I have refused to touch it .......... a rewire is ongoing ..........but soon it will have to be removed to make way for a 2nd fuseboard.
