Well we've tried the lot and go through a few a year, the best we've had is the Megger VF2, it lights up, beeps and has a built-in torch.
The beeping is great for confirming circuits and protective devices.

I use a Fluke VoltAlert 1AC. Hasn't let me down yet, touch wood.

ive got a fluke been good but would never trust it always double check with my prods , worst one ive ever used was a ethos

I have a Kewtech, and its great, never been wrong yet, but always check anyway. I mainly use mine to check lights are working when they have no lamps.

If you touch wood, you should be relatively safe, even without the Fluke 1AC

i had a vibrating one-that was handy but the wife wanted it
