@steve

I cant seem to find anything related to what iam looking for the protection.

Thanks for the suggestions.
@Shaky
That is a clamp meter.I need something that does not need 3 hands,turning buttons and knobs etc.The main future to have is a display for the voltage measurement and a fast continuity beep.

Also metrel md150 and megger tpt 320/220 looks good.

T5 looks like a favorite to most here as have the current reading future and can be a 2 hand probe.
One question for T5 owners.If you forget the knob on ohm slot and choose to measure 230v/400v does the meter have any protection ?
how is it a problem? I use the clamp to clip it onto things while taking a measurement etc.

its easy to hold tester and 1 probe in one hand?

if you are being fussy we shouldn't use these devices at all and should use a dedicated voltage indicator.

should use a dedicated voltage indicator.

What do you mean? That is the reason i made this thread.
I already have 3 clamps meter.One digital and one analog.
Can you suggest a dedicated voltage indicator ?

Whats your budget? I personally recommend the Fluke T150. It has a self test function, a torch on it, the probe tips pop on and off so they don't fall off and Resistance/continuity measurements plus more.

Check the link below, probably find it cheaper somewhere else though. I cant remember what i payed for mine, think it was about 80ish maybe a bit more. :)

Shipping to EU is expensive from this site
Fluke T150 Voltage/Continuity Tester 74.95 plus 30.19VAT plus 76 shipping cost Total: ÂŁ181.14

My budget is 100-150 euros.I Am inclined to T150.I just need a good price now.

I am fairly sure that with that sort of budget you could get one posted out from somewhere and still have change.

I am only advising this one as i have it and get on with it as i like the features it has and the torch is very handy. Its also worth having a voltage indicator that is not sensitive to phantom voltages. I use a MTL7 Drummond test lamp for that.:)
